
For the past couple of years, I have been working on my solo CD of happy electronic music, titled "MOOG-Tastic! Happy Electronic Music from the 24th Century."
While working on my CD, the opportunity to record a NEW CD with Jean Jacques Perrey came up, so I put my own CD project on the back burner. It will be released some time after the Perrey/Countryman CD comes out.
In my studio, I am using a combination of electronic music instruments, both digital and analog during these recording sessions.
Even though there's not much actual MOOG-brand instrumentation on the project, I still call it a "MOOG" CD because the name has become associated with a genre of music and records, particulary referring to the time in the late '60s to early-'70s, when Moog synthesizer albums flooded the market. My CD project is meant to sound as if it might have come from that era.

My electronic instruments include:
The sessions
are being recorded on both analog 1/2" tape (Tascam 38,)
and Digital Performer hard disc media.
The CD will consist mostly of original tunes, some recently written and some going back to things I wrote in high school! There will also be some fun cover tunes, and all the titles are subject to change before the project is finished. Projected date for completion of the CD is Fall, 2004.
