ARTS AND SCIENCES "MVP" RECIPIENT, 7 TIMES "VIRTUOSO AWARD" |
| Video performance of "Mack the Knife", with Vinnie on guitar |

Frank Sinatra sings "Mack the Knife" at a 1980 Carnegie Hall performance. Watch guitarist Vinnie Bell's wild gyrations on this number. The director and video crew insisted that Vinnie needed to "liven up" his playing, by throwing his hands up in the air, as he played. It was all a "set-up", and the film crew ribbed him continuously, after the show. Even Sinatra was in on the joke, and he told Vinnie, "Keep it up, Vinnie, and YOU'LL be the star!" |
